Jump Start is a program designed to provide an opportunity for qualified high school students to enroll in college level courses prior to the completion of their high school educations. Area high school students may take one or two classes per semester at OBI during their Junior and Senior years. College credit is granted upon successful completion of each course. This credit may also be used to satisfy high school requirements--check with your guidance counselor.

Any High School student who meets the following criteria is eligible:

• Student must be a high school Junior or a Senior.
• Student must apply to the Director of Admissions at OBI.
• Student must meet the criteria set forth by his/her high school.

How to Apply for Admission:

• Complete the Jump Start Application (no fee required).
• Request your high school Guidance Office to forward your high school transcript to the Admissions Office at OBI.
• Obtain a recommendation from your High School Principal or Guidance Counselor.

Cost: $150 per course plus textbooks and other applicable fees. Tuition and fees must be paid in full prior to starting a course. No refunds are available after the course start date.

Home-schooled students are welcome to participate in the Jump Start program contingent upon Junior or Senior status as defined by their school district.
